I'm a early-40ish cradle-Catholic, patriotic, all-American, sports-watching, book reading man . . . married . . . father of two . . . just now getting a handle on my relationship with Christ and what he expects of me. I'm devoted to my family, active in my parish and community, successful in my career, and learning in my faith. I'm on a long spiritual walk and trying to make God's will my will every day. I am a knight walking in the kingdom of God.
Monthly Intentions of the Holy Father - General: That all the men and women in the world, especially those who have responsibilities in the field of politics and economics, may never fail in their commitment to safeguard creation. Missionary: That believers in the different religions, through the testimony of their lives and fraternal dialogue, may clearly demonstrate that the name of God is a bearer of peace. Monthly Dedication: Souls in Purgatory Merciful Father, hear our prayers and console us. As we renew our faith in your Son, whom you raised from the dead, strengthen our hope that all our departed brothers and sisters will share in his resurrection, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. (Opening Prayer for the Mass for All Souls, November 2nd)
